Saturday half-day group cooking classes:
Starting at 8:45 at the Batignolles organic open-air market.
Then on to the kitchen in the center of Paris to cook away, finishing with lunch around 2:45. Classes are limited to 7 people.
Fall and winter classes are available as of October 10.
- The price is 130 euros per person. (I try not to turn anyone away, so if that's a stretch, ask... We'll find a solution.)
You'll learn how to choose the choisest vegetables at the market. How to safely use "sharp" knives in the kitchen. The art of roasting. The creative use of nuts and herbs, grains and beans. How to layer flavors in dishes. How to make doughs with various flours: buckwheat, Kamut, farro... We'll discuss cheeses and wines, how to combine ingredients for balanced plant-based meals. The spirit of rustic Italian cuisine - its simple celebration of vegetables - will reign in the kitchen.
Join in the party as we stir up marvels for the palate that celebrate the earth and the hands that toil it.
